Welcome to the Central Wellington Medical Centre. If you work or live in Wellington City, being registered with us is a great way to ensure that you have access to medical care and advice without long wait times. You can download a registration form and scan or email it to us, or fill one out when you come and visit. We can generally offer appointments within 2-4 working days.

Diabetes New Zealand

Diabetes New Zealand is a charity that represents and supports people with diabetes. Diabetes New Zealand’s mission is to provide support for all New Zealanders with diabetes, or at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes, to live full and active lives.


The Health and Disability Commissioner

The main role of the Health and Disability Commissioner is to ensure that the rights of consumers are upheld. This includes making sure that complaints about health or disability services providers are taken care of fairly and efficiently.


Privacy Commissioner

The Privacy Commissioner's Office works to develop and promote a culture in which personal information is protected and respected. The Privacy Commissioner administers the Privacy Act 1993. The Privacy Act applies to almost every person, business or organisation in New Zealand. The Act sets out 12 privacy principles that guide how personal information can be collected, used, stored and disclosed.


Healthline

Healthline is New Zealand’s national telephone triage and health service. Healthline has three main functions - Assessment and triage of callers with symptoms, General health advice and information for callers without symptoms and Information on health services throughout New Zealand.


Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand

Provide free information and training, and advocate for policies and services that support people with experience of mental illness, and also their families/whānau and friends.


Immunisation Advisory Centre

Provides New Zealanders with a local source of independent, factual information based on international and New Zealand scientific research regarding vaccine-preventable diseases and the benefits and risks of immunisation, information and training for health professionals, national immunisation coordination and policy advice and research into many aspects of vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases.


Wellington After Hours Medical Centre

WAMC provide accident and urgent primary health care after for people who are unable to access their own GP’s (e.g. after hours care).


Medical Council of New Zealand

The Medical Council registers doctors in New Zealand and carries responsibilities in the areas of standards, conduct and competence.


Compass Health

Compass Health is a Primary Health Organisation (PHO) that provides a wide range of primary care services. The PHO has contracts with health professionals and organisations in the community, such as General Practitioners and the wider General Practice teams to help deliver quality health services to you.


Asthma and Respiratory Foundation

A not for profit authority on all respiratory conditions including asthma, bronchiectasis, childhood bronchiolitis, childhood pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer and obstructive sleep apnoea.


Cancer Society

Offer free, confidential and accessible services for all people affected by cancer. This may include information on cancer and treatment issues, emotional and psychological support, and transportation to appointments.


Stroke Foundation

The Stroke Foundation is the national organisation in New Zealand dedicated to reducing the incidence of stroke, improving treatment outcomes, and supporting those affected by stroke.


ACC

We provide comprehensive, no-fault personal injury cover for all New Zealand residents and visitors to New Zealand.
